How can we transform AIRC Christmas Trees into Communicating Objects capable of telling the story, mission, and values that distinguish the Association?
We have been collaborating with AIRC for several years, but it was during last Christmas that they presented us with a unique challenge: to repurpose the Christmas Trees created to raise funds for cancer research.
“These special trees, placed in Piazza San Carlo and Piazza Olivetti, are not decorated—they are completely stripped thanks to the generosity of the community. With a minimum donation of €5, it is possible to receive a bauble containing a message of thanks from AIRC researchers.”
Through a short and carefully controlled supply chain, the design and manufacturing process made it possible to creatively repurpose the two plexiglass Christmas Trees.
Thus were born the AIRC keychains—objects that give new life to a valuable material through design, in perfect circular economy.
