"I was an old Pandagift magazine, now I’m a papier-mâché panda or a Marsican bear."

"I was an old Pandagift magazine, now I’m a papier-mâché panda or a Marsican bear."
WWF magazines are shredded and mixed with glue (made from water and flour), pressed by hand into plaster molds, and dried. Pandas are hand-painted with water-based colors.
1600 pandas made, symbolizing the number of surviving pandas in the world. Each comes with a numbered certificate.
Also made: 50 WWF Marsican bears, equal to the real number left in nature, to urge institutions to act against their extinction in the future.
