Set-ups, communication materials, products to showcase: trade fairs condense months of work into just a few days. But what happens to it all once the event is over?
Together with FITT Group — itself a fellow B Corp — we decided to plan ahead, joining forces to design the end-of-life for materials right from the start, creating a truly circular and symbiotic economy.
The Forex panels from FITT Group’s stand were transformed into luggage tags as soon as the booth was dismantled, thanks to the valuable work of the social cooperative La Fraglia. To fasten them onto suitcases, another company joined the chain: Aeffe Srl. Production offcuts from fashion industry drawstrings — the ones used for windbreakers — were repurposed to complete the tags.
Why wait until the end, when we can design trade fair materials with their afterlife already in mind, ensuring they are immediately recovered and repurposed?
